Always the highlight of our social calendar, this special night is where we come together as a club to celebrate everything we’ve achieved across the season — in the surf, on the beach, and behind the scenes.
This Friday morning, Sorrento SLSC members will come together to host a special ANZAC Day service on the grassed area in front of the club.
The intimate 30-minute service will include readings, singing, and the playing of the Last Post as we pause to reflect and honour the sacrifices of our servicemen and women.
All members, families and friends are welcome to attend.
Following the service, the café will be open and the club BBQ available for anyone who would like to stay and share breakfast together.
Congratulations to our newest Bronze Medallion holders!
Over the past 8 weeks, this incredible group of members has dedicated more than 40 hours to training — combining dry and wet sessions — to earn the coveted Bronze Medallion. And they’ve done it for one reason only: to volunteer their time patrolling our beaches for the benefit of the local community.
We’re proud to officially welcome them to the ranks of Sorrento SLSC’s 400+ patrolling members, who together contributed over 8,500 volunteer hours last season to keeping our coastline safe 💚
Even more inspiring — several of these new lifesavers are parents and Nipper age managers, setting an amazing example for our next generation.
A huge shoutout to our dedicated Assessors: Paul, Simon and Jackie, and the passionate Trainers: Rob, Tim, Eamon and Michael, for their tireless support and guidance throughout the course.

A huge congratulations to our newest Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) graduates – 16 amazing young lifesavers who passed their assessment today and are now officially part of our Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club patrol team!
These legends gave up the first week of their school holidays to complete the course – a big commitment that shows their dedication to keeping our community safe. They now join more than 400 volunteer SoSLSC patrolling members who give their time every summer to watch over our local beaches.
Fantastic job today, team – the surf conditions weren’t easy, but you tackled them with confidence and skill. Welcome to Uisce, Zeke, Audrey, Olivia, Felix, Ruby, Maddy, Molly, Malachy, Luke, Benjamin, Aston, Fearne, Ashton, Lucas and Benji! We can’t wait to see you on patrol.

The 2025 Watermans to the Wall, held on the weekend, was another iconic community swim proudly hosted by Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club.
More than 300 competitors, from ages 12 to well into their 80s, took on the 2.4km and 1.2km courses along our stunning WA coastline, all in support of beach safety and community spirit.
Thanks to this year’s efforts, we’re thrilled to share that we raised over $15,000 – funds that will go directly towards purchasing lifesaving equipment to help keep beachgoers safe.
A heartfelt thank you to: - Our incredible volunteers who have worked tirelessly for months to bring this event to life - The dedicated WTTW Committee whose year-round planning made the day such a success - The amazing water safety and first aid teams who ensured everyone’s safety on the day - Our generous supporters, including Indian Ocean Paddlers, for helping make it all possible
Over the weekend, both spare tyres were stolen from ski trailers at Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club.
Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club is a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping our local beaches safe. Every dollar we raise goes directly towards supporting our lifesaving services and training our members — not replacing stolen equipment.
In the past 18 months, we’ve already had to replace a stolen ATV — entirely at the Club’s cost. Now we’re facing yet another unexpected expense.

A massive congratulations to our incredible club members and officials who proudly represented Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club at the Surf Life Saving Australia National Championships on the Gold Coast over the past two weeks!
Across all disciplines, our 96 competitors showcased determination, teamwork, and exceptional sportsmanship.
In the Open Competition, we finished a fantastic 14th place overall and proudly topped the rankings among WA clubs! We achieved numerous personal bests, multiple finals appearances, and celebrated our first-ever Open medals in the water—a huge achievement for the club!
We also picked up plenty of medals on the beach track.
A highlight was celebrating Max's exceptional performance in the Adaptive program, where he picked up heaps of medals and did our club proud.
It was fantastic to see such a positive and supportive atmosphere across all arenas, with our competitors representing our cap so well. Officials repeatedly commended our athletes for their courtesy and respect, making us even prouder of their conduct.

The club uniform shop will be open on Wednesday 26th March from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM for any last-minute Aussies gear (i.e. comp caps, bathers, goggles, etc) or for any other member merchandise requirements.
